A plain-language summary of what Jireh Threads does and does not do with your information.

The free tools

Apart from the AI Stylist and the Cyber Security checks, described below, the tools on this site run inside your own browser.

  • Measurements, budgets, wardrobe items, family sizes and anything else you type into a tool are saved in your browser’s storage on your device. They are not sent to us.
  • Photos you choose or take in a tool are read by your device to work out a colour. They are not uploaded.
  • You can erase everything a tool has saved by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
  • The Group Outfit Coordinator can create a share link. The names and colours you entered are part of that link, so anyone you send it to can see them.

Usage statistics

To find faults and decide what to improve, this site keeps an anonymous record of how it is used. Each record holds the page or tool, the action taken (for example a tool being opened, a button being pressed, or whether a result was positive or negative), the time, whether the device was a phone or a larger screen, and a random code that links the actions of one visit and is forgotten when you close the tab.

  • It does not hold anything you type into a tool, any photo, your name or your IP address.
  • Records are deleted after 90 days.
  • Nothing is recorded if your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal.

The AI Stylist

The AI Stylist is the one tool that sends a photo off your device, and it asks for your agreement first. The photo and your question go to this website’s server, which passes them through OpenRouter to the company hosting the AI model that writes the advice. We do not save the photo or the advice. We use only open-weight AI models, and only hosts that say they do not store or train on what is sent. OpenRouter and the model’s host handle the request under their own terms and privacy policies. To prevent misuse we keep a count of requests per visitor per day, using a scrambled form of the IP address that is deleted after a day.

How we protect what you send to AI

  • Before any text reaches an AI model, our server replaces email names, phone numbers, card and bank numbers, ID numbers and street addresses with placeholders such as [phone].
  • Requests that try to override the AI’s instructions are refused (AI Stylist) or flagged as a warning sign (Cyber Security checks).
  • Adult and offensive words are blocked in questions, in boutique stock lists and in AI answers, and the AI is told to refuse photos showing nudity or children.
  • Every AI answer is checked again on our server before you see it.

Cyber Security checks

These checks run on our server. When you check a website, its address is looked up in public registration records and its home page is read; the result for that address is kept for a few hours so repeat checks are faster. When you use an AI check, the text and photos you choose are sent through OpenRouter to an AI model and are not kept by us. The answers you tick in the checklists stay in your browser, and the Brand Impersonation Watch saves your shop’s address and scan dates in your browser.

The boutique stock checker

Boutiques that use the stock checker give us their shop name and the items, sizes, colours and quantities they list. That information is stored in this website’s database and is shown publicly to anyone who opens the boutique’s stock link. Shoppers who view a stock page do not give us any details.

Business sign-in

The business tools need a free sign-in. When you sign in, we email a one-time code from no-reply@jirehthreads.com. We keep your name and email address, the dates of your sign-ins, and the IP address and browser type used for each sign-in and session, to run your account and protect it from misuse. A cookie named jt_biz keeps you signed in on that device for 30 days, and signing out ends that session. Sign-in records are deleted after 180 days. Your product files are still processed in your browser and are not sent to us. Ask us through the contact form to delete your account.

Payments

Plans are paid through Stripe. Your card or wallet details are entered on Stripe’s own page and go straight to Stripe; they never reach our website. We keep a record of each purchase: your email, the plan, the amount, the date and when the pass ends. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

Forms

When you send the contact form or a design request, we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, message and any file you attach. We use them to reply to you and to carry out the work you ask for. They are stored in this website’s database and in our email.

We do not sell your details or pass them to advertisers.

Protection from bots

Our forms (contact, design requests, business sign-in and boutique sign-up) use hCaptcha to tell people from automated spam. hCaptcha receives your IP address and information about your browser and device when you use these forms, under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and hosting

This site runs on WordPress with a hosting provider. Like most websites, the host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. The site may set cookies that are needed for it to function.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, for example a map search for donation points. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can ask us what details we hold about you from a form you sent, and ask us to correct or delete them. Use the contact form to reach us.
