Golden rules
Five habits that stop most scams
- Pay by card or PayPal. Never by bank transfer, crypto or gift cards to a shop or seller you do not know.
- Type addresses yourself. Reach a brand or carrier by typing its web address, not by tapping a link in an advert or text.
- If it is too cheap, it is probably fake. Brand-new designer items are almost never 70% off.
- Keep resale deals inside the app. Its protection ends the moment you move to WhatsApp, email or a transfer.
- Never share a code sent to your phone. No real buyer, seller or courier needs it.
